What is the intelligent design for goosebumps? Or male nipples? Or dewclaws? Or wisdom teeth? Or appendixes? Or tailbones?

And, if those weren't there, would you THEN believe in an intelligent designer? :)

I don't know, but I do know such things are strong evidence both against design and especially against INTELLIGENT design.

If you credit eyeballs and blood clotting to an intellgent designer than you also have to credit IT for male nipples and such.

Supposedly, there was a time all male mammals were female. I'm GLAD God provide us with nipples, because it adds a sense of kinship with the fairer sex.

Yeah, if it wasn't for nipples we might not realize women were humans too.

I am sort of surprised that one of the commandments isn't about women going topless to remind us of this kinship.

And I do have to wonder about nipples on other male animals besides humans. Do nipples on a male cat REALLY make him appreciate female cats?

I didn't mention Hyenas either. The female hyena's naughty bits mimic the male's naughty bits so much, that I understand it requires a physical exam to tell the two sexes apart.

I don't see why. Asexuals maybe, but I don't see the homo connection.

Interestingly, most female mammals not only are only interested in sex when they are ovulating, but many are completely incapable of engaging in sex when they aren't ovulating, by means of a vaginal plug that forms.

The fact this isn't a trait found in humans is interesting. Even more so, if you imagine humans were designed. Unless you imagine a creator who designed humans for recreational sex.

I think it has more to do with wolfie finding insults easier than defending his/her original outlandish statement.

I guess it all depends on which outlandish statements we want to put our faith into, "you can't get something from nothing".

Wolfie's original statement was not one of faith, but one spoken as fact. If I were to make such a statement about ANY topic, I would expect to have to back it up.

As for 'something from nothing', again this is not something I have faith in, instead, I speculate that it is one of a number possible explainations to the origin of the universe, a complete separate topic from that of the origin of life on Earth.

And yes, the idea that life, that humans were INTELLIGENTLY designed is outlandish, for oh so many reasons. Males having nipples is but the tip of the iceberg of human imperfections that destroy any notion of careful design.
A designer giving humans an appendix is a bit like a car designer giving cars with modern combustable fuel engines, a steam engine in the trunk that doesn't run anything, but occasional bursts thereby destroying the car.

Which leads to 3 thoughts, the creator was not very good at it's job. The creator let things go on their own, after doing the creating part, like the deist Founding Fathers thought. OR there was no creator.

But, if there was no apendix in humans, how would one out of 100 of us put food on the plates of doctors through an apendix operation? I hardly have any nipples, making me look kind of like ET without my shirt on. Nipples look good on mammals. JUST because it doesn't need to function for something, doesn't mean there is no intelligence behind it's design. Until you can make life from scratch, I'd cut God a lot of slack on the whole nipple/apendix, whatever isn't intelligently designed thing.

For someone who seems to have a problem with accidental causes you sure seem quick to use them yourself, for I can't think of anything more accidental or random than reasonings based on the personal whims of a creator god. No reason for male nipples, just your creator's personal taste? I am sure that is comforting to men who develop breast cancer. And who say's they look good? In a world where men had no nipples, a man born with nipples wouldn't look good. You only think they look good because they are the norm.

An appendix occasionally does more than just not serve a function, sometimes they go bad and in the past it spelled certain death and still does sometimes today. IF as you claim, appendixes were designed to provide income to doctors-again this points to an idiot of a designer because doctors have plenty of work even if appendixes did not exist. To say nothing of how that must be a pleasent thought for those who suffered the terribly nasty death from an infected appendix, that their suffering goes to the greater of good of helping doctors afford summer homes.

I myself have offered the idea that the creator must own quite a bit of dental stock over the topic of our imperfect wisdom teeth, but honestly it was only in jest, but I suppose Dentist's got to eat just like doctors, eh?

As for cutting your god some slack because I can't create life from scratch? There is no convincing evidence of this god you speak of let alone any evidence it created any life. People talk about gods that make life, planets, universes, etc, how about showing me ONE that can tie a pair of shoes, ITSELF.

Oh. ET HAD nipples, they were on his elbows. Look for them next time you watch ET!

I am afraid that any desperation you are sensing is self-projected because I have agreed that I might just end up in this heaven of yours, just as I agree I might end up in Valhalla. I don't think either is very likely and I don't believe I will experience anything post death, but I freely admit I could be wrong as I have admited from the beginning and you may be right.
