Scientists discover that movement of white blood cells similar to that of millipedes »

Research by Israeli scientists have found that white blood cells advance to the area of an injury or infection using the same type of movement as millipedes, and not inchworms as previously thought. The findings from this study will be used in future ones to see if it's possible to regulate aggressive immune reactions.

        I didn't see anything about why that discovery might help stop a disease such as lupus or Arthritis, but I will admit that the more we know, the better chance we have of finding related events some of which can greatly help healing.
