Posted By DiffeeOnline 6 months ago in Science & Technology

Imagine a time when the entire universe froze. According to a new model for dark energy, that is essentially what happened about 11.5 billion years ago, when the universe was a quarter of the size it is today.

I just love all of the guesses that are without any basis in fact but presented as fact.

Once again an idea which may or may not be true is read by someone as scientific "fact". Are these folks so desperate to not understand science, that they must constantly ridicule what they do not have the background or intelligence to understand. These are the same folks who think the world is 5,000 years old, that smoking does not cause cancer, and that carbon dioxide does not trap heat. I certainly wish they would just go away and let other folks with some slight(at least) scientific background comment on scientific articles. Unfortunately the nature of the web allows "dodos" (yes they really are not extinct) to post their silly opinions over and over again. Get a life and go away.

Why does it seems that certian religious people are afraid of extremely large numbers. You mention anything past 5,000 years ago, let alone 11.5 billion years ago, and you have instant knickers in a twist. It scientist cant find a way for the origins of the universe to match Genesis perfectly, one just must assume with out a shaddow of a doubt that the scientist are wrong and the tribal nomadic sheep herders were right. None of this ever states that a God or gods do not exist, but maybe our ancestors were mistaken on how everything came to be.
