This would be a silly story if it was not so pathetic in the not understanding of how a dryer works.

My mother and mother-in-law both had a washing machine that had a wringer attached. The clothes went through between two rollers that pinched the water out and then the clothes were hung up to dry. Pressing the clothes only made them damp not removing all of the water. -
