For a while it had been abused by some and changes were needed. but with the new regulations combined with our very poor economy we forcing many to loose the roofs over their heads when it truly isn't their doing which put them where they are.

george and company made the new requirements just as credit was loosened, including for credit cards. One could almost believe that they foresaw the crash, and made sure their buds in the credit business were protected. In return, the increased spending from that shaky credit would prop the economy for george's image.
