Limbaugh: Negro-in-Chief Obama Wants Reparations for Darkie Pals »
Posted By metavirus 6 months, 2 weeks ago in Political NewsI guess cheering on "Barack the Magic Negro" wasn't enough. I'm not one to generally bandy around the word "racism" but Rush Limbaugh's recent remarks about Obama seeking "reparations" is really beyond the pale. I'm sure just as many people in the mainstream media will be all over this story just like when they were tearing their hair out over Wanda Sykes' intemperate joke about Rush Limbaugh being the 20th 9/11 hijacker...

it really is quite sad that leaders in the GOP let blatantly racist comments like this just slide by. until they start getting ahead of patently offensive stuff like this, they are going to lose more and more young people and minorities

Do you know the difference between drug dependency and drug addiction?
Reply
Did you know that the ACLU defended Rush Limbaugh in court?
Remember back when you liberals actually defended privacy rights? Rush's was illegally invaded. That is the only reason you came to know of his dependency issue. Had the same thing been done to a crack ***** with 8 children by as many fathers, half of them infected with AIDS, you'd be screaming bloody murder.

I lived in the US for for over 15 years and nothing that I experienced could make me imagine that anyone would be foolish enough to take this person seriously - let alone reward him with huge sums of money.
This is NOT about representative democracy - not even a little bit.Its about who shouts loudest and the lowest common demoninator of "humanity".
Well that was a typo in the line above - but such a serendipitous one I must leave it in place! I did mean DENOMINATOR, however.. -

Listen to the hypocrites seething in their idiocy and hatemongering. The Limbaugh quote in the article is not only arguable on policy grounds, but is hardly the incendiary this title suggests. But even if it was, from whom do we get racism served up on a regular basis if not the Democrats?
Reply
It was the SCLC who said Obama was not an "authentic black" because his blackness was not derived from the American experience of slavery and Jim Crow.
Any time Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) wants to support a black candidate against a white candidate in Georgia, he starts reliving his Pettis Bridge days and screeching about riders on horseback in white sheets. Talk about a shameless race pimp! (Much less the brazen ignorance of trivializing real racism!)
You Democrats clean up your own act, then we'll talk about the non-racist comments of Rush Limbaugh. He was clearly addressing policy, not race. Your faux indignation theatre fools no one but yourselves.-

Don't forget The John Lewis, Shirley Franklin Andy Young race baiting radio ad for John Eaves. The one where he said that if you thought the dogs and fire hoses were bad in the 50's elect a white republican to Fulton County Council and see what happens. All four of them are scum.

oh, here we go with the "Hey, don't criticize US for being racists -- Democrats do it TOOOOOO!" you people really have perfected the craft of deflecting attention away from your own failings by pointing people's anger to other stuff. it's cowardly and shameful.

P.S. Just ask yourself this: If Bill Clinton or John Kerry were in office, would Rush be criticizing their economic policies as "reparations"? Nope. Get a black guy in office and, whoa nelly, time to start jabbing people's race fears by pointing to a black president wanting to take white peoples' money and give it to his black friends

--But there's virtually no people of color or any minorities in the Republican party anymore, Georgia. Do you think maybe the GOP has a "slightly" more serious problem with racism and discrimination? Just floating a theory out there for ya. ;-P

Rush didn't say "darkie pals". Why throw that in there?
Reply
And simply replying to Rush via a "one size fits all comment" is a mistake. One must put it all into context and listen to him "genuinely" over a period of time to get the full meaning of what he says.-

Rush is intelligent and speaks the cold truth. The truth the nazi liberals don't want to hear. The truth that nazi liberals put the spin on. It could be worse. He could be that useless, lazy, blow hard sumo wrestler like Michael Moore.

what "truth" are you talking about? that Obama was actually born in Kenya? that Obama is an unpatriotic terrorist-sympathizing black nationalist?
Reply
or is it the truth that Obama, back in 2004, specifically rejected the idea of reparations? or is it the truth that the only reason Rush is dog whistling the word "reparations" to his listeners is because Obama happens to be black? -

LOL ... NAZI Liberals!
Reply
Oh man ... thanks for that. You know, do y'all remember how y'all would cry and whine whenever some angry Liberal would call Bush a NAZI?
According to many Righties on Propeller, this happened SO OFTEN ... it became the touchstone pass that gave critics of Obama to express unbridled anger.
Well ... here you are ... AGAIN ... calling the MAJORITY OF AMERICANS ... NAZI's.
And yet, y'all STILL want respect ... and y'all STILL wonder why Liberal members of Propeller react negatively to y'alls overt hostility toward America and Americans.
BTW .. .. .. how many government checks do you think you've cashed in your lifetime?

Limpballs gets away with his racism and homophobia by not calling a spade a spade. His tirades are calculated diatribes against blacks, gay, the poor, liberals and on and on but couched in code words like "welfare state" and "reparations". But people know what he's referring to and it's so hypocritical when conservatives deny his racism and bigotry.

I had to neg this on principle. The story implies that Rush said "darkie pals" and that he called Obama the "HNIC". Neither of which he said. While I don't like Rush I cannot condone stories that attempt to make someone looks worse than they actually are by lying.

I agree, they are fanning the flames with the title, and it's worked. I haven't listened to Rush in a very long time because of things he says for shock value. But for the most part, things are blown out of proportion and tried to be tied to every white person that is right of center.
Reply
On another note: Don't you find it interesting that these people want Rush dead? I saw at least two of those posts here. Don't you find it interesting that free speech is ok with these same people, as long as it's against their enemies. Say Ms California for daring to give her opinion about marriage, the plumber guy, or anyone else,
AS with Rush, the hateful left sent their minions out to find dirt on these people to try and personally destroy them and their message, and if anyone here were to be in a situation where a national media camera pointed your way and you said something they don't like and it became the next 15 minutes of news, they will also destroy you if possible. While the same people here will say you deserved it and maybe make a comment that people like YOU should just die and go away. -

is this seriously all you've got? the best you can do is to say, "Hey, don't criticize Rush because liberals do it TOOOOO!"? this post is about rush limbaugh. if you are incapable of providing a defense of his comments that don't use the cowardly tactic of avoiding the issue entirely then go find another post to troll. if you want to write a post on some stupid thing that Randi Rhodes (who I agree can be an idiot) said, then I'll go over there and comment on it. in the meanwhile, please try to stay on topic and actually address the issue at hand, tyvm

what lies and innuendo are you talking about? rush said, on the air, that Obama is seeking to impose forced reparations. He's accusing a black President of wanting to take american taxpayer money and give it out to other black folk who supported his bid for the presidency. all this in the face of the fact that obama already publicly rejected the idea of reparations back in 2004 during his senate race. shouting words like "reparations" is absolutely designed by limbaugh to conjure up race-based fears in the minds of his listeners about a black taking white peoples' money and handing it out to his black friends.

Incorrect.
He said, and I quote:
This is the objective! The objective is unemployment. The objective is more food stamp benefits. The objective is more unemployment benefits. The objective is an expanding welfare state. The objective is to take the nation's wealth and return it to the nation's, quote, "rightful owners." Think reparations. Think forced reparations here, if you want to understand what actually is going on.
And there it is, right in his own monologue. He tells you that the objective is not to give money to blacks, but to create a bigger welfare state and give the nation's wealth to nonworking welfare state.

We have not had a decent president in years many many years and since this one has raised the debt by a TRILLIon dollars, and we are just printing up money as we go along, I guess we have another one who cannot do the job.
I dont care who we voted in ,there is not one man that can fix the mess that these last 8 years has created.
Russ needs a lobotomy. He also needs to get off the drugs and stay off. But really who gives a damn what he says? Why do we even give this ****** any kind of press??? Giving him press just gives him another reason to open his mouth and spew drug fueled BS. -

Another unspoken point that needs made. IF Obama did come out in favor of reparations, every single liberal in here would fall in behind him like the Pied Piper kidlings they are.

--No. Freedom of speech means you have the *option* to speak. It doesn't mean everyone must speak whatever stream-of-consciousness dialog going through their mind at that particular moment. Your "point" is your baseless opinion and the absurdity of McCain voting, party of "no" supporting cons speculating about what "every single liberal" in here would do is ludicrous in the extreme. LUDICROUS.
"WE criticized Bush."
--Criticized? How? By re-electing him in '04 after he blasted through a budget surplus and created the biggest government in history? Obama should be so lucky.
"THEY cannot criticize Obama. The Collective's DNA does not permit it."
--If you think Obama hasn't been hearing criticism from the left, then you haven't been watching MSNBC each night and you haven't been reading anything other than right wing blogs. Obama has been getting poked and prodded and reminded of his campaign promises by gay rights supporters, those who want Bush and Cheney in leg irons, those who are furious because he's sending more troops to Afghanistan, those who want single-payer health insurance...the weed community, you name it. You're making absolutely asinine statements. Just because you live in a cave where you only get FOX doesn't mean you're aware of what's going on in the world.

Now that the Republican Party has opened endorsed bigotry, bias and blatant hate into their political agenda, the American Electorate can view them as the truly are. Reagan managed to bury the darker side of the GOP and Bush I also was proficient at keeping the 'dark side' of the GOP hidden, but with the resurgence of the Democratic Party and Obama, a Black Man of mixed heritage ascending into power, the stress and strain on the 'Good Old Boys' of the Republican Party has been too much.
Reply
Notice that Republicans don't take any responsibilities for their own defeat. Imagine their surprise to have one of their own defeated at the National level with greater numbers of voters than at any time in our history, and the GOP losing across the board in the House, Senate and even in the Governor's Mansions. Republicans just cannot fathom that they did anything to deserve such a whoopin'. That's probably the central reason for their defeat. They've done everything possible except accept the responsibility for the deceit, lies, divisiveness and incompetence of the last eight years and instead have settled upon an agenda to attack the new President and anything that the Democrats present. The GOP is incapable of saying 'No' and provided a clear way to counter the proposal with anything other than 'More of the same old tried and failed' policies of the past. Is it a coincidence that Hoover was defeated because he wanted to be 'Hands off' the economy
