I always loved elephants. They were my number one reason for visiting a zoo as a kid. Even when one sucked my arm up it's trunk, giving my arm what seemed to be a snot sock made of dirt when it used my 10 year old arm as a trunk cleaner, it didn't hurt my love for elephants. How I looked desperately for a place to wash off that dirty snot sock, though.

About 20 yrs ago I went somewhere where the had a wolf that had been injured and was going through rehab, they were using her as education and display. She was in a cage and people could pet her through the cage, son there were all these people trying to touch her. When I came in and came up to the cage she came right over and started like crying and she wouldn't stop licking my face, of course I let her, but the owners said she's never ever done that with anyone before, it was like she was SO happy to see me :-) it was almost magical, but I didn't really want to wash her slobber off lol!

I'm sure most people have had one pet they can remember that it was like you had a very special bond with, or you've seen animals that really seemed to be friends!!

I won't say "soul mate", but, it sounds like that wolf might have had a bond with you in some kind of reality LIKE a soul mate sort of thing for sure. Thanks for commenting.
