The most screwed up Church in the world. You lay these celibacy requirements on otherwise healthy males and they will find a form of release somewhere. Women become taboo and impossible to relate to. To the altar boys and parishioners seeking help these priests are an authority figure. They totally abuse their power when they commit these acts.

And why do some act as if this is a relatively new phenomenon? Many of the early popes kept "beautiful boys" around and it wasn't for communion. In those days the priesthood would have been an even better closet for gays. Most began in monasteries where homosexuality was almost surely rampant. Their world then became an essentially all-male world. No need for women as companions. That world continues to this day. The entire time the Church has labeled homosexuality as an abomination. Much as homophobes reveal alot about themselves in their denials and anger. Just further proof of the farce that is organized religion.

I will always believe gays were born with their own predelictions. Attempting to suppress such feelings can only do harm. But many live their entire lives in such a box. In, or outside of the Church this must make for a pretty miserable existence.

THEY SAY A WOMAN WITHOUT A MAN IS LIKE A FISH WITHOUT A BICYCLE

BUT A MAN WITHOUT A WOMAN IS SIMPLY LOST...

If I have learned nothing else in my own heterosexual life that is the truth.
