I think he is blowing a lot of smoke and knows if he doesn't rationalize his administrations actions he is going to be tried for war crimes. I think the more he talks the deeper the hole he's in gets.....

I certainly think there will be an internal attack before anything external happens. Cheney's continued ranting only reinforces the crap his followers hear on talk radio. Many of these people are unstable to begin with and would never seek mental health assistance. After all that could cost them their precious gun rights.

I still see my old acquaintance Al on occasion. He is the role model for what is listed above. Hunkered down in his house most of the time, waiting for the stormtroopers to come and take away the massive arsenal he has stored there. I don't know how his sweet little wife deals with him. He could arm a regiment of troops with weaponry that would dwarf any police response. He loves Cheney and Limbaugh, they are the "straight talkers" to him. Yet he has a real hard time dealing with the fact his and their views represent those of about 20% of Americans. He insists he is part of a huge silent majority that apparently forgot to vote in November. He also claims to be part of a network of anti-Obama sympathizers. In short he is the type of person who buys what Cheney is selling. Yet I have already written up an email draft for the Secret Service on him. Complete with his violent rantings. Most of these people are harmless but as McVey and Rudolph showed it doesn't take a large organization to do a lot of damage. The only reason I haven't sent in the file on him is that I have some conflicted issues regarding authority from my own past and any attempts to pull this guy from his nest might cost a few lives.

the party is attempting to correct itself from the pro-war, unconstitutional, totalitarian agenda of the last administration.

after successfully subverting the republican party, cheney is still doing whatever he can to blur the issues into simple wedge talking points.
most of us can't see it, but not getting Cheney's endorsment over Limbaugh, is actually a glowing endorsment for Collin Powell. (if the zodiac killer admitted that he wanted nader to win, then do you think this would bode well for nader?) make no mistake about it, cheney understands his unpopularity. Never let a crisis go to waste.
Cheney wants Powell. He's the only popular neocon left to be publically ousted. -

I think Cheney has every right to come out and defend the attacks on Bush and him. Would YOU remain silent if being attacked, even after the election was over? If this new adminastrations only goal is to say I was better than Bush, then there is no real vision. Its not hard to change Bush policies. What the results will be from those changes are yet to be seen...

I am not defending Bush and Cheney here, but when are the dems going to start to put Obama under the same microscope that they but Bush? I was hoping that the dems and those others who voted for Obama where seeking real change and would hold there representatives to a higher place of responsibility. I have not seen that yet. I hope I will soon no matter what party one is in. -
