    All the years man has been on this earth water was gave to us free and man like the water companys now the restaurants take it to make a profit from it.

      If it cost the restaurant money they should already be figuring this into their costs as part of the overhead same as lights and I think doing it any other more visible way will have very ill effects on the bottom line.

        Of course they are free to do so, but I don't think that using the business model of the banks and airlines - adding a fee for every little service they can think of - is going to keep customers coming back to a restaurant.
