I did not say that logic denotes experience, Des. At the same time, I do agree with you that any person will lack experience in something.

That being said, the fact remains that everything that everyone does is rational, at least in its own way. That does not automatically bestow goodness, or even functionality, on that which is to one person, rational.
I also agree with you that logic is a way of thinking about things. However, I would re-iterate that sometimes logic and rationality in the face of limited facts, limited data and limited experience can lead to results, conclusions and/or actions that are highly rational to the individual, but highly irrational to others. That is what I was trying to succinctly express with that li'l equation.-

I agree to an extent. Everyone thinks their thoughts are based on logic that does not make it so. I think that just because something seems logical to a person does not mean it is. If the study was objective in determining logic it is a good thing - because illogical people think they are logical. Logical people can learn and adapt to information being provided. I think more to the point is that these people will be able to learn and undertstand as they age not that they believe they are all knowing as teenagers - as that belief would in itself be illogical.
