Evangelical Christianity would be fine if they would just practice their religion and leave the rest of us alone, but they don't. They feel it necessary to inject their philosophy into every part of politics trying to run everybody elses business.

Well I'm sure it does some people some good, and there are those who feel they need it, they depend on it. That's perfectly fine with me as long as they don't impose their personal choice on others.

This story is nothing new to churches. Children grow up in the church and then leave home. Sometime after they get married and have children they come back to their roots. Then they are back in church. Just like most of them do not get insurance but when it comes to family they get it.

Silly story. It is what happen throughout their life that counts.

the christian version of god is so petty and egomaniacal. and to take the bible as some literal translation of actual history is just absurd, unless you think Noah was really and truly 600 years old when he built the ark.

kids today are more apt to want to get a game chip implanted in their skull than to believe that what a bunch of men said 2000 years ago is some sort of absolute truth, especially if that absolute truth is more than willing to discount all the other wisdom that came before it (like buddha) and after it (like galileo).

Here in San Diego...we are witnessing a revival of what could qualify for religion...a legion of truth.
