  No, they, the environmentalists, actually have a good point on this one the acres of solar panels needed to produce any appreciable amount of energy would necessarily disturb the habituate of all of desert species in the area. Consider what covering an area with these panels fifty miles wide and a hundred miles long would do to the flora and fauna we aren't talking about an oil pipeline here.
