    That's why I'm a single 29 year old Kentuckian... ;)

    Honestly some kids enjoy learning and are smart enough to pursue something like this. I saw a news special on recently about children this age enrolled in college. They loved it. And socially, they were in a program where they all hung out with each other, like any other high school aged group. The only difference was the school they attended.

    Honestly, though, a child this smart would probably have social issues even if she had stayed in high school, just because a lot of other kids are cruel.

    So yay for my alma mater!

      Actually I think it's great. You are right that the 14 year old would not fit in. She probably fit in better at college and had a better time. Much better than getting picked on in a public school that is catering to the lowest common denominator. And now she can have fun in grad school.
      I didn't mean to imply that you got married 17 years ago:)
