He appears to be speaking in code, more than anything else. Since reproduction is theoretically nonexistent with gay marriage, and in reality is about as efficent as the ancient Athenians requiring that guys have a woman around for breeding purposes when they aren't having sex with other men. (note to the historically challanged: ancient Greece led the world in military technology, tactics and training, and still got squashed by the Persians because they just didn't breed fast enough to overcome the advantage of bigger armies. Alexander the Great came later.) Customers that don't have kids are quickly saturated with existing products and don't generate enough new customers later for businesses to be able to survive over the long haul. Think about it.
