    It's pretty amazing when you think about all the advancements in technology for our generation. I like to think that these inventions have brought us more together as humankind, but I also see how alienating they can be.

        Transporters would be a mixed blessing. Imagine you're sitting in your home watching TV or listening to music and someone just pops up in your living room unannounced. Security would no longer exist. Locked doors would be meaningless.
