it's easier that way. the last thing israel wants is for them to get organized. it's classic divide and conquer... literally. this is why not a peep was heard from the west bank during israel's massacre in gaza. the west bank has no voice and all its fragmented enclaves are just small disconnected islands surrounded by a sea of israeli hostility

The Palestinians asked for it. Before the second Intifada, the Palestinians didn't have a wall, fence or barrier. They could cross into Israel and they had jobs there. There was never a need for a wall until the suicide bombers came calling. Just for clarification, after the 1948 war, Jerusalem, which had a very sizable Jewish community, was taken by Jordan. A fence or barrier was erected around the entire perimeter of the Old city with a border gate, the Mendalbaum Gate, the only access into the old city from Israel and only the UN was allowed to use it. Jews were forced to vacate their property without compensation and were forbidden to enter the old city. They were also forbidden to pray at the Western Wall, the holiest Jewish site. The Israeli's had real good teachers!!!!!

I agree!! Israel should cut off all electricity, water, sewage and money until a peace agreement is reached. Let Hamas and Fatah build electric plants, water treatment plants and sewage treatment plants. Nothing is going to get into Gaza through Israel until a peace agreement is reached. How stupid do the Palestinians have to be to not understand that? All they have to do is make peace and they can have everything that they want.
