Israel already made concessions in the past and made clear that it is willing to make more in the future if these concessions will lead to peace.
On the other hand, can someone elaborate on the concessions Egypt and the Palestinians already made or will have to make in order to reach a peaceful solution of the coflict?-

All israel has to do to get peace is to give up its racist totalitarianism and join the modern world. Honest jews and israelis have known this for a long time. Now it is time for them to condemn zionism.

As usual I have to thank 'dextrase' and 'Mikunited' for agreeing with every word in my post above. After all, if it was not the case they would tell us what they did not agree with.

In particular they would answer (or, at the very least, TRY to answer) the question about concessions Egypt and the Palestinians already made or will have to make in order to reach a peaceful solution of the coflict, wouldn't they? -

I'm a Jew and I think of Israel,"my people"are the ones with all of the military might. They also keep Palestinians penned in outside jails, called Gaza and a portion of the West Bank that is still free of settlements.

The one and only thing ALL Palestinians and surrounding Islamic nations can and should give,is to agree the right of the existence of Israel.
Though you imply otherwise,I take no sides, for me nationalism is an old fashioned construct, whose day is over. For me human rights means just that--Human rights. It doesn't matter if you are white, black, gay, straight,Jew or Muslim.Of course terrorism, whether by disparate small groups,or state sponsored is a crime and therefore should be punished
I am pleased to see an American president ,who looks as if he is going to treat all people of the middle -east fairly.

This whole sceniro is scary. I think Obama and many others figured Iarsel out a long time ago but there isn't much he can do. He could possibly align the US a little beter with the rest of the civilized world by taking a stand against Israeli apartheid.

But Israel will do anything to stop Iran and Iran is just as messed up as Israel. With these two messed up nations waiting for the other to make the first move there will be a war even if they have to make something up to accuse the other of.-

Obama could do quite a lot, but he will need the support of the american people in ending zionist crimes against humanity. It is time to end the zionists killing jews, christians and moslems for an ugly racist ideology.

Saving Israel From Itself
http://www.propeller.com/story/2009/05/15/saving-i...
The two-state solution is the only way to guarantee the Jewish state’s long-term security—and our own. The United States and Israel fundamentally disagree about the need to establish a Palestinian state living side by side with Israel. President Obama is committed to a two-state solution, while Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu is opposed and has been for many years. To avoid a direct confrontation with Washington, Netanyahu will probably change his rhetoric and talk favorably about two states. But that will not affect Israel’s actions. The never-ending peace process will go on, Israel will continue building settlements, and the Palestinians will remain locked up in a handful of impoverished enclaves in the West Bank and Gaza. Anticipating this outcome, Obama has told Congress to expect a clash with Israel....
... The main reason no president has been able to stop Israel from colonizing the Occupied Territories is the Israel lobby. It is an especially powerful interest group that has pushed the American government to establish a “special relationship” with Israel... Israel’s supporters in the United States often claim that the special relationship is not due to the lobby’s influence. The American people, they argue, identify closely with Israel and put significant pressure on their leaders to support it generously and unconditionally. But there is abundant evidence showing that this is not true. Recent polls indicate that over 70 percent of Americans think that the U.S. should not take sides in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and only 47 percent of Americans think that Israel’s influence in the world is “mainly positive.” Moreover, 60 percent of Americans have said that the United States should withhold aid to Israel if it resists pressure to reach a peace agreement with the Palestinians.
In short, a clear majority of Americans do not favor the special relationship and would back Obama if he leaned on Israel to accept a Palestinian state. The lobby, however, would surely side with Israel and pressure the White House to back off....
The United States is in deep trouble in the Middle East and has a serious terrorism problem in good part because of its unconditional support for Israel’s policies in the Occupied Territories. ... In short, there is little hope of ending America’s terrorism problem and improving its standing in the Middle East if the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not resolved. That will only happen if there is a two-state solution, and that will only occur if the United States puts pressure on Israel.

> I like the idea of Israel giving up it's nuclear program...

What else could possibly leverage the Iranian's more?
Probably, nothing. Without Israeli nukes its Arab neighbors would try to eliminate Israel once again as they've tried in 1948, 1967 and 1973. Most probably, they would succeed as Israel is a tiny country where 6 million Jews and Arabs live. The population of the Arab states is 60 times higher and their territory is 500 times higher than that of Israel so, if stripped of its nukes, Israel will be doomed. Millions of Jews and Arabs will die making Iranian ayatollas and Arab militants happy. As a result of this victory the Islamists will be even more determined to continue the Jihad against the West using the support of idiots in Western countries who are willing to 'leverage' the Islamist fanatics by stripping the West of its means of defense.
