Ah yes, the juvenile essence does shine through on issues such as this and what type of condiments the President prefers on his hamburgers. The bright side that I see is that as long as such issues surface we get closer and closer to mid-term elections with the Republican still looking for leadership and direction and having little chance of making any gains in the election.

I have noticed for a couple years now that increasingly the Republicans are referring to the Democratic Party as the 'Democrat Party'. While I am not a big fan of Chris Matthews, I am glad that this is one of his pet peeves and has made it a point to correct Republicans when they try to use the term on his show.

I shudde at the political inanities of my fellow-countrymen who have only been free of Communism for 2 decades.
But from 1776 to now is one heck of a long time to barely reach political adolescence!
Democrat Party is simply wrong grammar chaps!
Democrat Socialist simply compounds the stupidity..
All references in English should use the expression Democratic Socialist - to define the difference from Communism, aka as Socialism when its used in the context of a country which was a member of the Communist bloc. -

the reason the left rejects that title is because it has such a negative stigma attached to it.

like, if somebody said i was "ignorant" on the subject of astronomy. well, that's true. i don't know a darn thing about astronomy. but, i might get offended if somebody called me that, even though it was merely a statement of fact.
another reason is that many on the left simply do not know what socialism means. they think it is an attack word, or some arbitrary statement. socialism is when you take money from somebody, and give it to somebody else. this country already has tons of socialistic programs. schools, post office, etc, etc. fundamentally, it's an altruistic theft. and many people think it is appropriate to take money from people in the name of schooling, or medical care, or what not. but that's socialism. so, we should start coming clean with our thoughts.
the last reason, is that the left has noticed that obama isn't doing anything much differently than bush. so, how did bush avoid this title? the bankster bailouts that bush and cheney passed on their way is precisely what geithner is doing today. geithner is an ex-kissinger aide, by the way. they worked together for 3 years. so, things are going exactly to plan here, folks. -

I'm as outraged as you are at the Modern Republicans audacious attempts to narrow what they stand for ... and their aggressive attempts to destroy all who disagree with them.
I would suggest that you direct your suggestions at Rush Limbaugh, FOX, SBC, and the hundreds of Right Wing Media outlets who persist in positioning the Republicans as uniquely DIFFERENT from Traditional Republicans.
If you are who you say you are, a woman of a certain age, then you KNOW that the Modern Republican Party bears little resemblance to the Republican Party of Barry Goldwater.
They THEMSELVES want to be known for their narrowed beliefs.

My Fellow Americans: Goppy just goes on and on with his lame rants. The World Loves Rush Limbaugh more than the Country Loves Obama. Rush tells the truth, Obama does not know what the truth is and don't care. Rush respects human life. Obama wants you to kill your babies. He wants you to abort their life even after they are officially born. By a needle to their head or by pulling their brains out through their nostrils. I just call the Democrats, Damocrats which is more appropriate since they are not intelligent enough to be Socialist. Rush wants people to become rich and enjoy life. Obama wants everyone to stay the same. He don't care what your goals or capabilities are he just wants you to work and give to those that do not work. Rush thinks this is the Greatest County on Earth. Obama doesn't even like it enough to say a good word about it. Yet, Goppy dislikes Rush and likes Obama. That tells you what type of person he really is and to me that is Anti American. Yes, Rush is a True American, Obama a True Kenyan. So, who should we really listen too? Me The Real American

The first thing you are incorrect about is Limbaugh. There is a whole lot of the world that has no idea who Rush Limbaugh is. I can state that as fact since I have many friends in the UK and Italy. The simple fact is the world at large does not care about Rush Limbaugh.

If you can not show direct evidence then it is obviously an out right fabrication. If you would like clarification of that It is my considered opinion that you lie. That is the second and probably worst thing about your post.

On a more serious note. The fact that we band together to have a government makes us socialist. That would be a basic definition.

The fact that we have highways, stop signs and traffic signals means we have socialized enough to pay for something for the common good. The fact we have fire fighters and police departments means we are socialist enough to want protection from burning to death or being mugged. Oh yeah and the water department. It may be privately held but is regulated by the Government so we don't get sick from our drinking water. All of these functions are by definition socialist. I want to know just what in our society is not social? People band together for the good of all. That is what Government is. Anyone who benefits from driving on public highways,walking on public side walks under streetlights payed for by public funds is being a socialist. If one does not want to pay taxes and be a "socialist" then I suggest they may never drive on a highway, use a side walk, or any other public facility ever. This would include, social security, calling the police or fire department or going to a park or even a public drinking fountain.No more 911 for emergency. You pay nothing you get nothing. So to anyone one who has used any of the fore mentioned things then you are just as much of a socialist as I am.-
