    The earth's core is magma. Energy source for this molten rock is "radiaoactive decay".

    Problem is that it's a "dispersed" energy source. That means if you try to get to much from one spot it goes "cold" on you.

    Geothermal isn't the answer. Nuclear fission is.

    Let's get on with it.

      The article talks about larger scale centralized energy production. Geothermal is ideally suited to small 1 building heating and cooling systems. Its as easy as drilling a well. You put a heat exchanger down in a well and pump freon through it to a heat pump. In the summer you get cooling and in the winter, heating. The big power companies won't get paid though.
