I remember when Sister Act first came out. One of the first movies i ever saw by myself in the theater. I went to a matinee after classes before picking my son up from daycare.
I laughed so hard when the first scenes came on screen when she was in grade school. Hit all the Catholicisms to a "T" and then some.
Whoppi has a wonderful voice and I loved the music in the movie.

Considering Steele's denunciation of Limbaugh was immediately retracted and followed up by a spineless apology for daring to buck the titular head of the GOP, I cannot find any reason to believe it is either a racist or sexist spoof. Just pertinent political satire.
However, should you believe it was a sexist depiction of Princess Leia, I think you should direct you doubt to George Lucas.
But, I can understand your reaction.
(Although, you should know me better than to wonder if I would resort to clowning around by using racism or sexism. Show me if I have ever done that before...)
