Comments for Rush Limbaugh's race to the bottom »
Posted By Progressive 7 months, 1 week ago in Political NewsMay 21, 2009 | Critics say that Rush Limbaugh likes to talk out of his ass. But that's only half the story: Rush can't stop talking about butt, either. It's too bad that Sigmund Freud's long dead, because Rush is the old shrink's dream patient, with an obvious diagnosis: Limbaugh has an anal fixation.

Limbaugh lamented that President Obama will likely get away with destroying the economy, because "he's being followed around by a bunch of sycophants who are going to die of anal poisoning" -- a disease that Google suggests Limbaugh himself invented.

I can not believe he would even say that after what has happend to our economy over the last 8 years. Has he been so messed up on his pills he slept through it.-

Interesting choice of descriptions ... considering that that the dodge he used to evade being drafted for Vietnam was ... according to him ... a painful cyst on his anus.

What I want to know is why can't yall forget about or just ignore Rush Limbaugh. It's really annoying how all propellers left want to talk about lately is Rush. Can we talk about some issues that matter instead of talking about some talk radio host?

Again, because you don't want any. The only thing I could say to not get negged by you guys is to say that Obama is right about everything and the "repugs" were wrong. Even when we talk about the wrong that the gop committed while saying that Obama and the dems doing the same thing is wrong too you guys still freak out. Why it is ok for the dems to borrow and spend while when it was atrocious for the republicans to do it is some hypocritical liberal nonsense that is beyond me.

Don't see any constructive suggestions here either.

Why don't you just list them and then we can discuss them, instead of stalling? Can't you think of any ideas?
Regarding the one policy of Obama's that you mentioned (but failed to counter with an alternative), borrowing and spending is no one's favorite tactic. However, jobs are being lost at ten times the rate they were a year ago, and businesses are failing at the same rate. Banks have stopped lending. In other words, money isn't flowing. The government needs to do something about that, and it is.-

I'm just stating the obvious facts that you are apparently incapable of seeing. If borrowing and spending got us into this mess why would anyone think that it could get us out of it? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Borrowing and spending helped to get us into this mess, when coupled with further cuts in government revenues (tax rate reductions) and deregulation that allowed abuses by lenders. Those last conditions are being fixed.

You're not saying you'd prefer taxing and spending, are you?

"I must point out that for 8 years your side was complaining about the POTUS and could not "GET OVER IT" as you put it."
Oh really? Are you saying Democrats never gave GW Bush a chance? Are you claiming that Democrats never rallied around GW Bush during his 8 years?
Well, I hate to break it to you, but the graph below showing GW Bush's 90% approval rating seems to disprove that.
http://www.hist.umn.edu/~ruggles/Approval.htm
The truth of the matter is that GW Bush had an opportunity to lead the country, as both Republicans and Democrats rallied behind him in a time of crisis. GW Bush's abysmal approval rating by the end of his second term was NOT a result of "not getting over" his election, as you oversimplistically put it, but was rather the direct result of his disastrous policies.
Let me know when you Republicans return the favor and rally around Obama with a 90% approval rating. Something tells me I shouldn't hold my breath.
Once again, your "argument" is undone by the FACTS .-

For an educated person you sure do have a stupid streak in ya Doggy.

The fact that half of propellers lefties still complain that W was handed the first election and stole the second one kinda screws your defense up now doesn't it? To be completely honest the only reason his approval ratings were so high after 9/11 was because liberals were afraid to keep hating him. They knew that if they acted in public the way they wanted to, the way the dixie chicks did, that they would be run out of town on a rail.-

I was saying that it is not half bad that I can apparently quote Rush when the only rush news I get is from you guys. Not that you were a guy. I have to neg the belief that Bush was not elected. I think yall are just mad that Bush actually had a majority of the votes. Something Clinton was unable to do.

Your previous reply to me began, "From a guy who only gets his "rush news" from propellers lefties". Had you used a non-gender specific term, I would not have bothered to inform you that I happen to be female, since gender is irrelevant to the subject at large.
Reply
I've come to expect neocons to neg all of my comments, but I still believe Bush was installed rather than elected to the Presidency...and regardless of votes, Clinton was a better President than W.

"The fact that half of propellers lefties still complain that W was handed the first election"
And half of Propeller neocons are still complaining that Obama isn't eligible for the presidency because Obama allegedly wasn't born in America. What's your point? When have I ever made that claim. Go ahead and quote my exact words, if you can, although from past experience I should already know that FACTS and PROOF are not exactly your forte.

"To be completely honest the only reason his approval ratings were so high after 9/11 was because liberals were afraid to keep hating him."
Really? And I suppose you have proof of your divination of the intentions and motivations of such a large demographic? If you do, then it's about time you PUT UP OR SHUP. POST YOUR EVIDENCE.
The FACT of the matter is that GW Bush's fall from grace can be attributed directly to his failed policies. An approval rating over 90% means that Democrats and Independents supported GW Bush after 9/11, and likewise an approval rating under 30% means that Democrats, Independents, and even some Republicans (gasp!) disapproved of GW Bush's performance in office.
Your denial of this FACT reveals just how ignorant and blind you've become. Either that, or the drugs you were addicted to have caused more permanent damage than you're aware of.
Of course, you're more than welcome to try to prove me wrong. All you have to do is post EVIDENCE . Go ahead. Post evidence that irrefutably proves that Democrats and Independents rallied behind GW Bush after 9/11 "because liberals were afraid to keep hating him," as you so ignorantly put it.
It's time for you to PUT UP OR SHUT UP.
Something tells me not to hold my breath waiting for your evidence.
LOL. The rantings of an allegedly-reformed drug addict.
Pathetic.

How about a community organizer who got elected because of the color of his skin and the help...

Nope. Senator Obama recieved 365 electorial votes over Senator McCains'173. Oh and the nearly 10 million votes over McCain in the popular vote as well. And I would say despite his being half-black, half white.
And frankly it was the Bush led GOP that lost.
