Posted By chuck-the-canuck 7 months, 2 weeks ago in Political NewsWho knew? With the Republican Party facing its bottom dropping out as only 21 percent of Americans identify themselves as Republicans - as Republican senators bail on the party - as the GOP has lost the last two elections - as their party chairman insists the GOP will bring new hip-hop ideas - as the Republicans desperately throw tea parties and pizza parties to "re-brand" themselves...who knew that the Republican Party idea of "re-branding" itself meant: proposing to re-brand Democrats!

FTA “The Republican Party isn't a bar of soap that might work better as a deodorant.”

“When you think your political party can be saved by slapping a "Now with 25% more!sticker on it, you've already lost the battle.”
Definitely not a bar of soap, more like a colonic. The cure for the republican’s shiity attitude, a massive cranial enema. Perhaps they can shiit themselves smart. -

The remaining repugs after the crash of the repug revolution are at the level of skinhead neonazis. They have only their boiling hatred of non-whites, their bizzare similtaneous worship of a liberal gay jew god who advocated for the poor and sick, and was tortured to death by the preincarnation of Dick Cheney, and their worship of the super class of billionaires that hold them by a chain and teach them to bark on que.

But a person who holds two completely conflicting values and doesn't realize it is incapable of reason or objective thinking. The Repugs require suspension of disbelief, they require unquestioning faith in authority.
You can't talk a pedophile out of his pedophilia, and you can't reason with a repug. -

"It's objectionable," said Frank Llewellyn, national director of the "true" Democratic Socialists, "because they're giving socialism a bad name by associating it with the Democrats, who are the second-most capitalist party in the world."

That would largely depend on how well President Obama does with the economy and the two wars we are fighting. IF Obama fails then the GOP could see a few gains. When he succeeds and the GOP is still wandering around in the desert of denial then you'll see them essentially disappear from the political landscape. I would like to think that our new president will succeed but time will tell.

I would just say we should all be independents. Both parties have performed miserably for many years. We are in much bigger trouble than just a recession, we've had plenty of those.

Now they choose to run huge deficits and at the same time damage businesses, plus increasing the cost of energy (and with it everything else, because everything has an energy content), then top it off with an attack on our health care system in less than 200 days of power.
If you cannot see or understand how much damage this is going to do to us in such a short span time, you must be twittering your life away.
