Who are the true patriots? Who are the real Americans? Those who defend foreign wars that send thousands of Americans to their deaths, create terrorists where there were none, and increase the hatred of foreigners toward the United States or those who want to end the U.S. foreign policy of intervening in the affairs of other countries, dismantle the Holy American Empire, and bring all U.S. troops home to stay?

Now that Democracy Now has revealed that torture is still being permitted under this administration (see http://www.democracynow.org/2009/5/19/jeremy_scahi... ) things are not looking very bright.

"Obama will be given a pass by progressives as long as he holds out the promise of power and the means to reward his followers with perks, prestige, and the novelty of popularity. A few .... resist, but, alas, they are the valiant few - who will soon either desert the ranks of "progressivism" or be expelled." --Justin Raimondo, antiwar.com

lacking piety (countable and uncountable; plural pieties)

(uncountable) reverence and devotion to God
Connie's intense piety made her brother and her friends view her as robotic and submissive.
(uncountable) similar reverence to one's parents and family
(countable) a devout act or thought
(Can we verify(+) this sense?) insincere attitude
        This too is torture...

          Times up Global.

This story is right on target. And if you don't know that, please do some reading. If you do know it and just want to be an irritating noise, could you just say so?

Global. Are you telling me that an opinion piece is an editorial? The story , er, editorial, asked many questions and presented lots of hypothetical scenarios. Your only remarks were that it was a bunch of crap, it was an editorial, and that I was a Jackass - possibly because maybe you couldn't think of anything else to say. I will give you one thing though-you did recognize it as an editorial.

Global would it be safe to say that nearly everything on propeller is an editorial of some type?

So far you have not addressed anything in the story, er, editorial as to the content of any singular thing.

I'll bet you didn't even read it. Did you go to any of the links? Would my guess that you are a George Bush sympathizer be close to right?

Were you the leader of the debate team at your school? I can see it now "And Global with the rebuttal" ""It's a bunch of crap and its an editorial, Jackass"", the audience goes wild with laughter and you think its because you were so witty.

Did it ever occur to you that people probably point at you and laugh at you - behind your back? They don't do it to your face because they feel sorry for you and that maybe you might be missing something important.

          Would they be right?
