"Egyptian authorities have now agreed to allow 20 convoy members into Gaza along with all the humanitarian aid and vehicles. So, that means the aid will get in, a victory for the convoy and for Gaza.
I do know that the Politicians will be part of the 20 going in and the others I believe are Palestinians who want to see their families and homes, and rightly so I say. One disabled Palestinian child in a wheelchair cried yesterday when his passport was stamped."

"Rightly so you say". How about saying, "make peace with Israel'. Once a secure peace with meaning is obtained, there will be no need for barriers, border crossings or limitations of who can enter and leave Gaza. The basic problem is Hamas' unwillingness to accept Israel who happens to be a reality and isn't going away. It would appear, that in order for Hamas to continue with its hatred, the people will always come second. Make peace and everything will change. It worked with Egypt and Jordan, and Israel withdrew from Gaza in order to give the people a chance to build a peaceful, meaningful society. Israel got rockets instead. No other country would have put up with 8 years of rocket attacks on their cities. Israel does not have to live up to different standards than the rest of the world. Let Hamas make peace, and there will be a definite change for the better.

"luxury items" and items which could be used for military purposes were still restricted.
LUXURY ITEMS?? What like dry macaroni and dates??
The Israelis are playing us - and our government is pretending
not to see. Can you imagine the good will that would be
engendered by the USA speaking up about these policies?
Well, there would also be a blast of outrage like we
have seldom seen - but c'mon let's root for the battle
of the century........AIPAC vs the USA!
I am curious as to just who might win - it is no longer
an outcome that I feel confidant about.-

The Israeli government isn't playing anybody. They withdrew from Gaza with all of the right intentions, even taking their settlers with them. They got rockets fired into their cities as a thank you. Israel doesn't have to let anything cross its territory. It is a sovereign nation with control of its borders. If Hamas wants to continue with the hatred, Israel is under no obligation to let anything into Gaza through Israel. I would assume that you would not let just anybody cross your yard, especially if they were using your land to cross into a hostile neighbor's property. Blame it on Israel all that you want, but the reality is that Israel has made all of the concessions including withdrawing from Gaza. Hamas hasn't made a single concession of any value to Israel. It seems that it is always one way when it comes to the arabs. The people are always last on the list of importance. If you doubt that, take a good look at what is going on in Pakistan, the Sudan, Darfur, Sri Lanka, and a dozen other Muslim countries. The difference in these cases is that it isn't Israel doing anything so there aren't any demonstrations. People are just dying quietly. BTW, AIPAC doesn't have the power that you have been taught to believe it has. Why don't you try talking to members of congress who represent you. You may just find that AIPAC's power is considerably less than that of the NRA and several other lobby groups. My cousin is a US Senator, and tends to differ with your less than knowledgeable opinion.
