Iran is breaking no international laws regarding nuclear power or use of nuclear energy. The IAEA says the same and says moreover that they've been given unfettered access to inspect and assess the use of nuclear materials. Why should Iran have to "freeze" anything if it's not breaking the law? Just because the US says so? When did the US become the bully of the world.

But I agree. Since they are acting according to their rights under existing treaties, since they have repeatedly stated that they are developing nuclear technology for power rather than weaponry, the threat of sanctions is just a slap in the face. Either the US is calling Iran a liar, or they're telling them that they're not entitled to their rights under a treaty that they have not yet broken.
When my wife keeps on telling me to stop doing something I'm not doing, I get very tempted to start doing it, just so she stops making baseless complaints!
