You seem to like comparing Israel to the Nazis. You don't seem to remember that a hole was blown through the barrier about a year ago. Now, since the barrier was erected to prevent suicide bombers from entering Israel and to prevent Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc. from sending suicide bombers into Israel, Israel is trying to prevent a repeat of the same problem. Israel also doesn't want weapons smuggling into Gaza, hence their fear of a gaping hole. They are also trying to eliminate the tunnels and would prefer not to have to kill civilians who are too close to the barrier when they go after the tunnels. Make sense?

You don't have to like it, but it is a fact that for almost 35 years there was no need for a barrier. Gazans had the ability to freely enter Israel, work there and go home afterward. The Intifada changed all of that and Hamas' rockets didn't exactly build a lasting bond between Israel and Hamas. If you'll remember, Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005 and the rockets started a week later. So, if you're trying to equate Israel with Nazi tactics, remember who started the Intifada, why the wall was built in the first place and who fired rockets into whose cities for 8 years. Israel no longer occupies the Gaza Strip, but it does control it's border with the Strip. If the people of Gaza want a different scenario, let them make peace with Israel. It worked for Egypt and Jordan, and Egypt not only got all of it's land back, it got oil wells in the Sinai courtesy of Israel to boot. But most of all, they got peace. Gaza got free of the occupation, was left the most advanced greenhouses in the world courtesy of Israel, destroyed the same greenhouses and elected Hamas. Israel gave Gaza a chance. They blew it.-

your response is long-winded as usual but it doesn't answer the question. so again i ask ... how is this specific israeli ruling -- shooting palestinians on sight -- NOT like the nazis?
