This continues a the story of a nation gone crazy! They can't feed their population, but can find a fortune to create nukes and now, even more missiles. In all truth, they are very unlikely to use either. In their garbled minds, this is a way of bringing the west to the negotiating table,in order for them to gain aid. They would need less aid,if in the first place, they used the fortune spent on nukes and missiles,on feeding their people.

I have nothing but the greatest sympathy for the ordinary people of North Korea. My feelings for their leaders is contempt.Their system isn't Marxism, but a military dictatorship, with a personality cult at it's center. It's the politics of the "asylum"-

It is a tragedy that the government will let its people starve to build weapons. The government is unlikely to use the weapons against anyone but that is not why this is so dangerous. N. Korea is assisting other nations in obtaining nukes as well. They believe in prolifieration and want to assit other in obtaining it. This could place nukes in the hands of very dangerous groups that are willing to use them in attacks against the US and several other countries.

For over fifty years, "the world" has pretty much tried to IGNORE the "North Korean" people who were forcibly dispossed of the southern half of their own country --- which they admittedly would have probably (quite unpleasantly) dominated (for a while) if they had not been "stopped" --- but the iconoclasm of "communist" doctrine WOULD have gradually "worn off" (as it has in, say, Russia, China, and Vietnam). But where the world has attempted to ISOLATE people, condemning them to steady deprivation for long periods, what eventually results is THIS. And though the vast preponderance of "We the People" over HERE have certainly been "conditioned" to think of the whole business in far different terms, the ACTUAL realiity is that "WE" "OUR"SELVES have --- through INactions as much as through actions --- actually PRODUCED this sort of mess just as much as has the ideological idiocy that has (inevitably!) grown up in a sequestered society that has been labelled a "pariah".

The supposed "winning" of the "Korean War" by the American Military Industrial Complex PROVES TO HAVE NOT BEEN ANY REAL VICTORY! -

"the Council had decided to act in two stages, first issuing a statement "strongly condemning and opposing what the North Koreans have done by carrying out this second nuclear test".

"And we decided to start work immediately on a further Security Council resolution in order to uphold the international peace and security in the region," he added.
And we know how well these U.N. resolutions and strongly worded statements work out..... Iraq ignored them for over 12 years and the U.N. still failed to act.....I'm sure N.Korea is shaking in it's boots now that Odumbo has spoken.... -

"Yeah. Because this NEVER happened under Bush when he was bombing children in Iraq and invading countries based on lies."

You forgot to mentioned about Bill Clinton's role of bombing Serbians or the 500,000 troops sent to Nam JFK/LBJ era or the millions who died under FDR/Truman....guess I have to declare the Dems the winners on this one!! -

My Fellow Americans: It is refreshing to read comments that point out the reality of what is really happening in the world. Comments that are not encased in denial or excessive understanding of feelings. We have Radicals portraying themselves as Liberals, Moderates, or just plain Democrats. They know the Taliban is just a few miles from nuclear (Pakistan) weapons but that does not exist to them. Instead it is how many babies did we kill in Iraq not how many terrorist. They know North Korea is shooting missiles all over the World but instead it's if we would have been kinder and gentler to them we would not have this problem. Forget about the Nukes they are exploding underground and the Nuclear waste floating across the Atmosphere. Where is the EPA? Oh Yeh, we did not win the Korean War, we signed a Peace Treaty (Armistice) with them. As for Iran, here come more missiles from a new direction. I know they are just letting Israel know that they mean business. However, they are getting American range and with a nuclear warhead, who knows. Obama, well he is preparing for the Wednesday Celebrity Party and don't have time to get tough. He'll let the other countries (World Order) take care of it for the time being or their isn't one. No matter it is probably just better we destroy our defense systems to let them know we are serious about wanting to be taken over by a Dictatorship. Not His. The Real American
