Really? Did the 'detainees' tell em that? Or did they have a chat with the terrorist cells the detainees would be 'rejoining?' And who said the detainees are being "released?" Last I heard they're to be moved, and then given a trial. Dang, if the pentagon has evidence they'll be "rejoining" terrorist groups, why is the pentagon worried? With that evidence, the detainees won't be going anywhere but to jail. Can't for the life of me figure out what the problem is. Doesn't matter if they're at gitmo or in a federal prison, unless you figure cost. A federal prison is a whole lot cheaper.

Now I haven't heard one word about giving the island back to Cuba. Closing the prison doesn't equate with that. We would still use it for training, and keeping an eye on Cuba/others going in and out of the bay, just as we have for more than 100 years. Sounds like another rumor is being started to scare people. tsk tsk tsk
