you may be right, locky. i'm in two minds about abortion. i think it has its place but only in circumstances of gravity - rape, incest, deformities, genetic disease, the endangerment of the lives of both mother and child, even economic difficulties and other such dire circumstances. there are many possible reasons to be considered on a case by case basis.

i think too often however that abortion has been callously exploited as contraception after the fact, a lifestyle decision. either way though, it's a matter to be evaluated by the individual, not the state. the state should only be able to work in the capacity of guidelines and criteria.
war, on the other hand, is very much a matter of state.
the wanton mass destruction of life and property in order to force a political outcome in our favor to better suit our "interests," all of which, without exception, are for nothing more than strategic control, economic power and imperial expansion, launched on fabricated or fallacious pretexts and justified by simplistic, hypocritical ideology, as has been the case in all of our wars in the post ww2....... this, locky, is by far the greatest of crimes.
certainly far more morally reprehensible than the many and varied desperate situations individual girls and women may find themselves in due to pregnancies that can potentially become an overwhelming lifelong burden for everyone, most of all the child
