I guess what makes all the alarmism hard to believe is because each report that comes out is totally unsubstantiated, at least as for as what we're able to read. They give us temperature readings for the turn of the 20th century and never say "how" that figure was arrived at. So without knowing that it leads one to think that the figures are being pulled out of the air. Then you're made to believe that for every action there is a simplistic reaction, that the world will not do anything unexpected. We, mankind, knows the expected result and that nothing else comes into play, not deviations in earth orbit, not sun activity not axis changes, no nothing is happening out there over which we have no control. Everything that is happening, we are led to believe, we can control and further more we are able to correct by paying some sort of a high tax to some international entity. No wonder the IPCC releases the reports that they do. And then, we are being led to believe that we can buy carbon credits and that some how this "fixes things". How?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not denying that pollution of our planet does not exist and is a good thing. I'm just not willing to buy the 21st century snake oil salesman pitch that he has the solution if only we'd buy his product. The planet has after all been undergoing significant changes for centuries before the industrial revolution and I have to believe a significant part of current change is due to other than man made factors. To believe otherwise if foolish.-

I'm not really sure what you are trying to say but I don't think anyone is trying to sell you anything. Globally we need to reduce green house gasses. The Earth may indeed be naturally warming but the rate that it is warming is far faster than would normally be expected. The attribute given to this rapid rise is excessive amounts of carbon dioxide produced by modern society.

It's rather straightforward, the temperature are taken in several hundred places, several times a day,in the widest "spread"of areas available. These temperatures are then averaged out and compared to other years, usually 1971-2000. There has been a global rise in temperature over the last decade. This doesn't mean that the average temperature is the same at every weather station,or that each year has seen the same increase. In fact over the last two years the temperature has been flat.
As for paying taxes, there isn't really any multi-lateral taxes in place. In my opinion,as climate change is global, there should be global solutions, including a global tax regimen..It should be aimed at the largest polluters,USA,Europe,China etc.The monies raised should then be used to help the nations most effected,Pacific and Indian ocean islands,Bangladesh etc.
The amount of evidence concerning global warming is overwhelming. There are a few percent of scientists,3-5% that question global warming. There are some books and studies, that argue human behavior has nothing to do with global warming, but they are very few compared to those whose that argue the opposite.
I do think that there is a more complex cause to global warming, then just Co2,but it is a major constituent. Human behavior is impossible to ignore in any calculation conserving the warming of our planet!
As for man having all the answers and control,Id say the opposite, man has totally lost control.

That should suite Congress just fine...especially deaths here within our borders...as it a metjhod top balance the federal budget...and save social security. there are many recipients like the killed in Iraq, etc that lost their ability to pass on the benefits they earned...many men and women. The Government has no excuse to be going broke...they will one day have to admit the TRUTH

Things that effect the weather(climate change)...Sunspots. gravitational moon & all the planets, radiation, magnetics, volcanos, etc.....NOT Human activity. The changes in sea levels have been going on for thousands of years & the average temp one degree rise since 1400 AD. Even with ALgors hot air & The Almighty NOOBama's political BS...still not enough to change. The Greeks 2000 years ago knew about this with the Antikythera Device, as were the Chinese with the Slide Rule.

Tell me please how since the average temperature of the moon and Mars is tracking the average temperature of earth how it is anything that people are doing. Also the last 10 years the temperature has been flat with a slight downturn the last two years. So the last 10 years there has been no deaths due to global warming. Such a foolish story. Taking things out of thin air to blame peoples death on.

My Fellow Americans: CO2, Man that is a deadly poison, unfortunately the plants are sucking it up at a phenomenal rate of speed. I dare say they are getting high off it. It is definitely killing our brain cells because we now have more Liberals who believe anything our Brain Dead President says. Yes, we need more taxes to combat this evil gas cuz we can't have our trees and grass growing so rapidly they may soon began to think and take over our government. Well! maybe some of them have already. Mrs Obama is promoting this problem with her gardens for everyone project which can only promoted CO2 for rapid Carrot production, Rampant Watermelon growth, and uncontrollable Corn height. We must stop this disaster with more tax money. We have to get every country in the world to send us as much tax money as they can fleece from their Oxygen breathing victims. Maybe we can pile it up real high so that the CO2 can't get to us. We have to buy Oxygen mask for everyone to keep this gas out of our systems. Oh no it is already coming out of our bodies, we are doomed, doomed I say. The Real American

It is odd that those who refuse to accept that, man's behavior has had an effect on climate, talk of anything other than science! It's down to liberals and Obama's misrepresentations. It's because the state wants mega-taxation,it's the UN,it's the USA giving up it's sovereignty.Would these same people like an automobiles exhaust, pumping co2 in their house.Of course they wouldn't,because it would soon become very uncomfortable.Yet billions of tonnes have been pumped into the atmosphere and they argue, "with little or zero effect on the Worlds climate and/or atmosphere in general".Why do these people think the atmosphere is limitless?
