The fear mongering swiftboaters have started their plan of attack; scare Americans into believing it is not safe to add a universal care option to our nation. I am not surprised that is beginning in this manner and at this time.

It is all based on preserving the maximum amount of profitability for the insurance companies and has nothing to do with their so-called "concern" for the well being of Americans.

Not too different than scaring Americans into believing that we had to attack Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction, the insurance lobbyists are ready to market their fictionalized nightmare about universal coverage.

The living nightmare of HMOs that we have today that are currently paying doctors not to provide necessary diagnostic and various medical treatments will certainly not be covered.

Of course, the current reality of the health care crisis that Americans are suffering with today will be ignored by these presentations. Their target audience are those that have coverage -even marginal protection and they will scare them by showing what they will allegedly "lose".

Trying to resell Americans on the current failing system will require dishonesty, omissions of fact, and one scary picture of a dismal future.

The savvy viewer will readily see through their phony concern for the well being of our nation's health care system. However, seniors and uneducated conservatives will be given the propaganda to protest Obama's health care option.

Only an educated and engaged middle class can overcome their attempt at maintaining control over the current health care industry, which is unfair to all Americans.
