As millions of downloaders chuckle at the RIAA’s frantic action to intimidate people from pirating music, artists struggle as they fail to attain record deals that were once easily attainable. MP3 downloads have truly revolutionized the music industry, but for good or for ill? It’s tough to tell. MP3 downloads have been around for awhile, but as far as the average person can tell, it seems like MP3 downloads are the only future for the music industry, so it’s about time they embraced it.<br /><br />What can companies offer that bittorrent can’t? Well, first off they can make it easy for purchasers to figure out what they’re purchasing. Bittorrent and limewire give you viruses and bull crap half the time, it’s not very safe to download virus ridden MP3’s. On top of that, they usually have weird names or misspelled names that require the downloader to go in and edit. When you have thousands of songs in your library, editing new music can get to be a full time job.<br /><br />New music can also become rather expensive when you download large quantities of music. It’s not like apple or amazon.com gives you an MP3 download “bulk” discount. However, there are sites that are more likely to fit an audiophile’s tendency to buy large quantities of music on a whim. Sites like Emusic.com offer subscription fees that allow users access to large libraries of music just by paying a subscription fee. Plus it even offers several free MP3 downloads to just for a trial if your incredulous at the thought of limitless downloads for a one-time fee at the beginning of the month. <br />
