Israeli proposal: Make Jordan the official Palestinian homeland »
Posted By tehranchik 6 months, 3 weeks ago in Political NewsIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior members of his cabinet have pushed back hard against a renewed US demand to end settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian territories. Interior Minister Eli Yishai said Sunday that it amounted to "expulsion."
But 53 Israeli parliamentarians have moved to explore another kind of expulsion: Under a proposal to be reviewed this week, Jordan would become the official homeland for Palestinians now living in the West Bank.
Among the challenges facing the proposal is this: nobody asked Jordan if it would support such a plan.
Not surprisingly, it doesn't.

Israel is undermining the peace process. What a hoot. Which side has as their only acceptable solution killing all off the other side. OOPS!! That is the Palestinians. Hamas, Hezbollah, PLO, etc. have as their only acceptable solution the death of ALL Jews.

""It has done big damage," says Mamdouh Abbadi, a member of the Jordanian parliament who has been among the most vocal in calling for government action against the proposal. "Even if it's not passed, when 53 members of the parliament [Knesset] accept this law in the first reading, this is very important. We can't think it's just for show; it's the real thinking of the Israeli parliament and they represent the people."
Last week, Jordan's foreign minister summoned the Israeli ambassador to deliver an official letter rejecting the idea and calling for the Israelis to stop the bill last week. In parliament, a group of at least 36 lawmakers are working to encourage their government to take strong action against Israel."
endo, you should read the article, perhaps even the headline, before you regurgitate your usual.... stuff
that's just a word of advice. your idiocy is universally recognized

Jordan was part of the Arab League when it told the Palestinians to leave what is today Israel. This is why most of the Palestinian refugee camps were in Jordan. The Palestinians that did not leave, remain in their houses today and most of the ones I know will tell you privately that they would prefer to live in a modern democracy like Israel rather than under an Arab government. Except for the Druze, they get to vote but don't have to serve in the IDF. It's an interesting solution to give Jordan back the West Bank in return for incorporating a Home State for Palestinians. It would solve half the problem.

Having lived in the Middle East for many years, it is interesting to read the comments about hate. Real hate is a one-sided coin in the region. A wise man I lived near summed it up. "If the Jews, put down there guns, there would be total bloodshed, if the Arabs put down their guns, there would be total peace." Israel was brutally invaded by surrounding Arab nations with annihilation as their goal, Israel has methodically given back most of the land it took in defending itself. There is no doubt the Arabs would not have been so fair if they had won the 67 and 73 wars. The Arabs ruled Palestine for many years at which Winston Churchill observed it was a series of Goat paths and villages on undeveloped land. Under Jewish rule for a mere 60 years, it has become a fertile and modern showcase. No doubt if the Arabs retook Israel, it would become a third world country again.
