    I have no problem with freedoms religious or civil,but what about radical militant extremist,is Obama trying to play on both sides of the fence,this is a balancing act that sure needs some scrutiny or is his game plan to keep your friends close but your enemies closer !

      His speech was perfect. It spoke to the wrong thinking of both sides of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. It told the truth; violence will win NOTHING. And neither will making it impossible for the Palestinians to succeed on the most basic of levels.
      Obama literally told the Muslim world that it is in THEIR hands to eradicate the extremism among them. And he's spot on. No one can do it but themselves. And if they want peace, and to prosper, and to have a life, they have to step up to the plate.
      He spoke to the people, not to their 'leaders.' Now, if only Americans will get the same message about the extremists among us, and put OUR 'foot' down.

          it is so nice to have a President who can speak eloquently and intelligently about multiple complex subjects at a time in a nuanced manner and actually make sense.

          It wasn't that long ago that I was reading transcripts of the speeches of Washington and Jefferson and Hamilton and thinking, "Why doesn't anyone speak to us like this anymore?" and then along comes Obama. I may not agree with everything he has to say, but I sure do enjoy listening to him.

            We all may not agree with are Leader our (President), but one thing he does do and that is speak to the people, all people he well speak so that we well know and understan. I think he is a great speaker.
