Survival training taught us that if you were wounded and maggots infected the wound to say thank you and let them have their way..Maggots eat rotting tissue..not the healthy..Typing this as i eat dirty rice and salmon...hmmm..

Maggots saved my life. I had 2 rods inserted in my back about 18 years ago. While in the hospital, I developed a severe infection from the surgery and they used maggots to get rid of the infected flesh, they then used some sort of super honey to kill any of the rest of the infection. Truly amazing that nature can cure something much quicker than human medicine. I'll never look at a maggot the same.

Now all I have to worry about is the corrosion that is taking place in those rods. Stainless steel my butt.
