The Meaning of Bloody Omaha
On D-Day, the U.S. saved Europe from itself.
There is simply no way to describe the sacrifice Americans made on the D-Day invasion to reclaim Europe from the grip of totalitarianism. Even the notoriously dispassionate Europeans realize that this is consecrated ground, a place where angels spread their wings to honor the deeds of youthful warriors. -

I had an Uncle that 'drove' an LST on D-Day's first wave.

His job was to get the troops in close to the beach then 'drop the gate'.
He never talked about it but then again why should he; he lived it.
We all owe those troops a real debt of gratitude, for without them, this could be a very different world. -

They were only boys but they fought like great warriors on D Day. They were the greatest generation America has ever produced. The world owes these men more than can ever be repaid. On June 6, 1944 American solders shed their blood to purchase freedom for Europe.

How can anyone not agree?
And yet:
There is no escape from cowardice, in praising the brave dead.
There is no loophole to the duty of honesty, - in speaking words that flatter the dead.
If you mean your praise;
dare to be brave here .
And courage on the internet is only demonstrated in one dimension:
honesty . -
