Video: NBC’s ass-kissing of Obama too much even for Jon Stewart »
Posted By pc25 5 months ago in NewsThis is kind of like Hannity goofing on someone for going easy on George W. Bush. The final line’s the keeper, though, so don’t quit on it before then. Maybe I’m just dizzy at the thought that media bias towards The One is now emanating such a stench that even the Daily Show can’t help choking on it, but is the backlash to Hopenchange finally afoot? For the first time, Rasmussen finds as many people strongly disapproving of his performance as strongly approving. (Thanks, GM!) The split on whether he’s an excellent/good leader or just a fair/poor one is also at its lowest level yet at 51/49. And now Stewart’s slapping people around for pitching softballs. What’s next? A mildly critical segment about The One on MSNBC?

I don't trust Rassmussen's polls, for Rassmussen has a a way--too-cozy relationship with the Republicans, as does Fox News.

As long as you're going to hit NBC for its alleged ass-kising of Obama, I'm going to keep harping on Fox for its ass-kissing of Rush Limbaugh and other Obama-haters.

I think that people are getting tired of the campaigning.

I realize that this whirlwind world tour is really an escape from being president of the US. He is kissing up to other countries, seemingly not caring about the lives of the people in the US.
I was also bothered by his "polishing the apple" aproach with mentioning the Koran at least 9 times.
I don't know a a speech where he mentioned the bible several times. Was the Wright church Christian, or Muslim?
And he is following the precepts of the Wright Church, Which I quote below:
The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:
1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.
2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.
3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.
I know that this looks like bringing up old material. However, considering what Obama has done so far, it looks like he is using it as a guideline. -

Brian Williams has cut his own throat as a respected journalist, IMO. I just watched the second half and this is just a little fluff piece about hamburgers, basketball, the first dog, and Williams' own absurd adulation. Hope he and Chris Matthews don't get in a cat fight over this.
Reply
Oh, and did you catch the part where Obama says he doesn't pay attention to cable news channels, specifically mentioning Olberman, Matthews, etc. How funnnnny!!!! -

It was embarrassing to watch Williams fawning and pandering over Obama, his staff and the burger. It also shows what a lack of journalistic standards the NBC has cultivated. The stuff they put on should never be called news or journalism it's only B class entertainment.

I used to respect Williams, this has knocked him down more than a few notches. Obama's charisma has them hooked. If Bush had broken all the promises that Obama has in his first 6 months in off
Reply
ioce it would be a never ending news cycle, yet they are silent on Obama merely because of the party he belongs to (the same one most of them are part of).-

Breaking promises is an issue for me with Obama.
Reply
He is NOT following through on the transparency he promised because he has now stopped the publication of documents about Guantanamo and torture. There has not been "silence" about that at all. There have been quite a few stories in the media about it and several stories posted on Propeller about it. You only problem is that it is not enough to suit YOU.
Breaking promises is a trait of just about 99% of the politicians in this country.
It is NOT the same as lying, violating the law, and violating the Constitution, which is what Bush and his administration did for most of those 8 years.
You imply that supporters of the Democratic party are blind.
Considering your support of the Republicans during the last 8 years, you are a huge pot calling a kettle black ....

Fascinating, how you take Jon Stewart comments about NBC and Brian Williams and then TWIST them into a supposed "choking on the stench from the One" by Stewart.
Reply
Wrong.
Stewart is obviously poking fun at Brian Williams and NBC while also criticizing them for the lack of balanced journalism.
But Stewart is saying nothing about his 'recoiling' from "the stench", as the article puts it.
You all have done the VERY thing in the last 5 months that you criticized the "lefties" about for the last 8 years.
Keep on trying to find some way to trash Obama. It makes you look even more like the true hypocrites you are - accusing Obama of 'crimes' with nothing to substantiate those accusations after you supported a president that lied in public, violated federal law and violated the Constitution. -

Hi guys!

Was that a great speech Obama gave in Egypt, or what?
Doesn't it make your heart drum with patriotic pride
to hear a man speak so well of his country,
- and yet have a hostile, foreign audience applaud?
It is America getting back to being a beacon of light
and liberty to the world.
Sorry I didn't bother to read the article for this thread,
or your comments.
I just assume it was the same old 'I hate Obama and the America that elected him his followers adore him but are giving up on him as they find he is really the same as bush but hates America and freedom and is cleverly seizing power the clueless chump etc yada ad yada'.
If not, then I missed something unique and interesting.

Here we have an article posted by PC25 with NO coveted yellow banner. And more, there is only ONE PC25 comment on the article. It would appear that someone has hurt PC's feelings. Certainly an apology must be in order from someone. Is there anyone out there that will apologize?-

(Crymtyphon presses a red button on the switchboard;
somewhere far away a team of ninjas piles into a black helicopter).
Stay right there, fsev41.
As for Pc25; I am authorized, on behalf of the universe
to apologize; and I do.
Can you imagine the agony it must be to see a good president,
after that fraud he sold the country?
To see real patriotism,
- after years of selling us his plastic-and-tin imitation?
To see action to address the problems caused by
the policies he defended?
(Crymtyphon checks the wall map; the red dot of the helicopter is approaching
fsev41 location.)
Where was I?
Right, Pc25's pain.
- Is immense; What greater damnation for the evil-hearted,
that to see good men prosper? What is hell but a good view of Heaven,
knowing you squandered your chance to get in?
(Crymtyphon checks the clock; almost there)
So, for this once, I officialy and officiously do postitively say,
'tut mir leit honichen', 'lo siento mucho', 'Je suis desole', and even
'i'm sorry, so sorry, please accept my apology,...'
Fsev41, Are you still there? -
