A careful reading of the Project for a New American Century just might reveal a cause for all the saber rattling.

"Create an issue" , "Use the issue as a motivation for intervention", "Invade", Hasn't this ploy worked more than 50 times since World War II?

Voltaire ended his "Candide" with the statement "We must till the garden".

The Neo-Con Business Model fits nicely with "We must till the Garden".

If you haven't read Candide, You might find the subject interesting.

So what do you do then with the evil that seeks to subjugate others, ignore it until it reaches your back yard?

Frankly, I think that evil little pervert is trying to raise some capital. It's worked before, why not again? His people are dying of starvation so maybe he's looking for appeasement payments from the free world?

i'm not sure of what you mean by "the evil that seeks to subjugate others." the only subjugation nth korea does is to its own people, which is evil enough. but your comment infers an element of warlike aggression. this is not something north korea is known for and is unlikely to do.

we on the other hand are well versed at wars of aggression for the purpose of subjugation

When it's your government, you fix it or overthrow it.
