Since the debut of the original resident evil game on the Playstation back in 1996 the brand has gone from strength to strength over a decade. To date 40 millions games have been sold and with a trilogy of films also staring big actors such as Milla Jovovich its safe to say Resident Evil is one of the most successful games ever. It is probably the only game which has successful been ported onto every games console and PC seamlessly without degrading the gameplay.
