That's right, boys and girls, SMOKING PREVENTS ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE. I wonder why the U.N.'s W.H.O., our U.S. Surgeon General, our C.D.C., and our N.I.H. isn't telling the world and ESPECIALLY the American People THAT SMOKING PREVENTS ALZHEIMER'S. THEY should be shouting this from the proverbial ROOFTOPS! But, oh, I see; mustn't say ANYTHING GOOD about SMOKING, even if it means keeping one's MIND! After all, SMOKING is the ONLY approved TARGET in our up-side-down Politically Correct World, right?
So GLAD I just bought another carton of CAMEL non-filters, as I do ENJOY them so, AND my SMOKING them helps PREVENT that DREAD DISEASE, ALZHEIMER'S.
And a "POX" on Obama and the Obamamites who endorsed his OUTRAGEOUS, SOCIALIST TAX on my cigarettes, when all this time I have been practicing PREVENTIVE MEDICINE when it comes to ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE; and thereby saving the Health Care Industry MUCH $$$$$!!!
As they used to tell us in the U.S. Army:
"SMOKE 'em if you got 'em!" ENJOY!
P.S. I believe smokers need to start charging non-smokers (ESPECIALLY the BITCHY TYPES!) for the PRIVILAGE of INHALING second-hand smoke, a Proven Preventive Medicine! Smokers are paying Obama's OUTRAGEOUS TAXES on tobacco, and it is only fair that non-smokers chip-in for this second-hand, FIRST-RATE, 'HEALTH CARE".-

Sorry to burst your bubble Pecosam, but there have been studies that show smoking to be a risk factor for Alzheimer's and dementia.
Reply
"Contrary to early case-control studies that suggested smoking protects against Alzheimer's, recent prospective studies have shown that elderly who smoke may be at increased risk for dementia. Higher rates of decline by smoking were found in men and women, persons with and without family history of dementia, and in three of four participating studies. Higher cigarette pack-year exposure was correlated with a significantly higher rate of decline."
