When you've grown tired of turning cheeks, loving your enemies and praying for those who persecute you, why not try praying for god to practice some vengeance killing?

Is this guy any different than an Ayatollah issuing a Fatwa?

God's vengeance is evidenced throughout the Bible... This is only a prayer that God exercise his vengeance (of course he will do what is his will and the vengeance may not come down as prayed for).

There would have TO BE A GOD before such an entity could strike at anybody. I have been deep into the 2nd Millenia BC researching the origins of religion In Babylon and Mesopotamia. Nothing has changed in all that time except for the names of the Gods that are worshipped. When is humanity ever going to break these bonds? Why are so many so weak?

I guess it kind of s-cks to know that we are on our own and that fate may intervene at a moments noticev yet it is the stark reality. I have always said it is the hubric nature of man to assign himself such great importance. But once the electrical impulses cease to exist in your brain you will know nothing beyond that. Without them there is no thought, no consciousness, no illusions of heaven. You die. Your existence ends.

It is the fear of this finality that drives many to religion. But what is there truly to fear? We all meet the same fate. And having had a NDE (near death experience) I know that the final moments are relatively peaceful. Your body shuts down, you do your little St. Vitus dance and void yourself. Thankfully I never got to the dancing or voiding part. The doctor (not God) beat the h-ll out of my chest and got my ticker going again. I don't consider it any sort of miracle rather a chance to look over the edge.
