In and Out Burgers. I found out about them in Malibu from a former vegetarian who finally got broken by In and Out which she remembered from before she went vegetarian. Advertising gets people in the door but quality makes them return. They have a simple menu with no new products. Burgers, fries, soda, and shakes. But they do those products very well and for a good price.

Some of these aren't what I consider "fast food", though. Panera and Cheesecake Factory are nothing like McDonald's and Wendys! And it does seem that the more complex the menu, the slower they are, so In-And-Out is smart to keep it simple.
