WHY/WHY NOT:  Using steel drums, anonymous and distant eastern European-sounding female chanting and the occasional Quranic recitation, Our Brother the Native manage to create haunting, aleatoric biodomes, each  inhabited by a breezy song. We hear a woman, in a sé ance or retelling a story of an untimely death. The slicing weep of violin, the twinkle of a satellite dish, the puff of an old organ and it’ s all beautiful.
