White Supremacist Shooting at U.S. Holocaust Museum Shows Where Spread of Hatred Can Lead »
Posted By jovial 5 months, 1 week ago in NewsNEW YORK , June 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) said today's shooting at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, in which a white supremacist and anti-Semite opened fire on a security guard before being critically wounded himself, "reminds us in the starkest way where the spread of hatred can lead."

The face of terrorism has shown itself right here in America. It's not dark skinned people as was always told to us before. It's white people! How will they deal with the terrorist's in their midst? Will they be as relentless, going as far as waterboarding, torture, rape, or threatening execution. Or will they just say this is unrelated to them and quickly try to sweep this spate of killings under the rug?

it never WAS dark skinned people. John Walker Lynn is a white guy, and, so was the Bosnian Muslim who went into that mall in Utah. Try as you may to make it a SKIN color issue, it's STILL mostly an ISLAMIC one when it comes to terror.

So, it wasn't "dark-skinned" people who attacked us on 9/11?
If there's anything more liberal than trying to deflect attention away from the Arab, Muslim terrorists you surreptitiously support with your anti-"Israel" postings, it's got to be your accusation that "It's white people! "
But this obvious racism isn't going to be denounced by other libs.
BTW, you're not fooling anyone. Your posting of this article is merely a fig-leaf. Your previous anti-"Israel" rantings indicate that you're much closer to the belief system of this person than you'd like to admit.
And how different is this nazi-lover from Mahmoud Abbas, whose position is supported by many Propeller-heads and is a buddy of President Obama? Abbas is also a Holocaust-denier. -

This is no place to audition for the job of failed court jester, although the relentless effort you put forth is admirable.
I note with amusement how deftly you associate lawless assassination with the waterboarding technique employed at Gitmo, a practice you claim to abhor. Once your audition is concluded, perhaps you can explain how it has escaped your attention that the recent assassinations here in the US were done by those with the same mindset of those you and your ilk defended and wanted released from Gitmo.

Here's more info on the shooter. This isn't his first terrorist attempt, but no one seemed to be calling this type of crime terrorism before. Makes you wonder.

Tadair I agree with you. I notice that Jovial made a distinction between waterboarding , torture, and rape. Surely that was just a slip of the keyboard. But Jovial this is a good article and a needed one. Since you didn’t mention anything as torture except torture, could I just suggest one? “Palestinian Hanging”. It is the method of torture used to kill Manadel Al Jamidi at Abu Gharib on Nov 4, 2003. The Foul deed was performed by Navy Seals and they were helped by Mercenaries.
Reply
Got any Idea why it is called Palestinian Hanging?
Bet plenty of Palestinians know.
So the shooter at the Holocaust Museum was a “White Supremacists” and a Right Winger? Was he a Republican? Isn’t the Religious Right the main core of the Republican Party?
I know plenty of White Supremacists who are Democrat.
But when you mention “terrorist” groups – don’t forget to include the ADL. Haven’t they done the same thing here in the United States – just not at the Holocaust Museum?

are you seriously calling the ADL a terrorist group? name one act of violence by the ADL. are you sure you aren't confusing them with the JDL?
Reply
the ADL is an org that gathers data, lobbies governments, pushes for prosecutions, uses media coverage to make points, and catalogues information.. sure I don't agree with all of their POV, being an individual, but they are hardly terrorists.-

Thuthiness. You are correct. When I mentioned the terrorist activities in the United States I was thinking of the JDL. But as a supporter of the atrocities committed in GAZA, I find that the ADL is an enabler of terrorism against Palestinians.

Since this guy hates/hated Jews so much, it will be interesting to see how many Muhammadans on Propeller will dis him. No doubt, they will try to focus on his racism and "Christianity", rather than his Islamic like hatred of all things Jewish. I don't know if he hated/hates Israel or not, but, if he does/did, that could make it all the more of a minefield for people like Hyperebola in using him for the Muhammadan "yes, but" tactic when trying to distract from Islam having a lot of terrorism in it.

So the question is now do you amend the constitution in regards to free speech, which I know will be something that will be called for and is something that I would not be in favor of if I was an American or do we ask the legal system to make an example of this man and show what a threat his kind are to the country, he has already been before the court and shown his contempt against the legal system as well as people of race and religion. I would like to see the SOB swing at the end of a rope but maybe that is what he is hoping for so as to be a martyr to others who follow the same line of thinking. Guess that narrows it down to making an example out of him, find him quilty, and let him rot in solitary confinement while he babbles to himself about being greater than his fellow man.

It's not a question of free speech. If a mosque leader or the President of Iran says that he hates Jews and would like to see them killed, he and his associates are automatically put on a terror watch list. Why is there a double standard when it comes to groups like the Neo Nazi's or the pro-life groups that vandalize clinics and murder doctors in this country? I say label those wh preach hate as terrorist organizations and treat them accordingly. The only groups targeted over the last few years seem to be "liberal" organizations. The real hate spreaders are getting a free pass.

Nobody needs to amend the constitution. We have laws on the books concerning hate crimes, incitement to hate etc. Freedom of speech is not all encompassing. We have understood for many years now that you can't yell fire in a crowded theater. Likewise, we have passed laws concerning hate and the lack of a person't right to freedom of speech if it incites people to hate. The FBI already considered this nut's web site as a hate site and that consideration will be used as evidence at the trial. The law already recognizes limitations within the bill of rights. Our founding fathers were brilliant. They knew that your rights end where the other person's nose begins.

Treating this man in accordance with the existing law doesn't "make an example" out of him. But would result in the punishment described above. Yet, it is exactly what this guy wants. He's 88 years old and broke. He can sit in prison, get three squares a day, have the "ZOG" take care of his medical needs, etc. So he doesn't have any human contact for the remainder of his miserable life. It's not going to be that long anyway. -

I don't care about what to call him, putting a handle on people gives the illusion of understanding something at could be so far out of your reality that it is impossible. Instead I'd rather call him a criminal. If he is operating in an organization, with a mission, then I want to know if that mission is one of an enemy, that is foreign or domestic. If this man is acting within that mission, then we have an organization, that is no different than Al Qaeda. I want to know if we have discovered a subversive group. CNN displayed a map with groups in the North, East West and South said to be like minded organizations. With those numbers, statistics say this is more than a left or right wing nut case to dismiss so casually. Next month, if CNN show that map, all the dots should be gone and the FBI, ATF and U.S. Marshals reporting the Extremist core is wiped out. That's what we are parading in the Middle East trying to do, let's make it happen at home.

I have to laugh at some of the "people" propping this article. They're constantly coming out with anti-"Israel" comments. Do they really believe that propping the article is some sort of fig-leaf for their obvious attitudes? Or are they propping it because they support the actions of this person who is a Jew-hater and Holocaust Denier? Is it a coincidence that this person felt the "Jews" have too much power and most of the anti-"Israel" types feel the "Israeli-lobby" has too much influence? One is a thinly disguised version of the other.

Politcally speaking, the outrage by Israel at having us interfere in their politics by suggesting that they stop further settlements is laughable. I again reiterate, that Aipac is one of the largest lobbying forces in our government. Like the saying goes, "Friends don't let friends drive drunk." It is imperative for the U.S. to be more impartial in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in order to be a more legitimate broker for peace. We are and will continue to be friends with Israel, but to say that any criticism of Israeli policies makes one "antisemetic" alienates your friends.

History and reality inform us that lawlessness flows downhill.

I agree that atrocities were commited in Gaza. Where we obviously disagree is who commited them. As in the 1982 lebanese war, it is absolutely beyond question that the Hamas terrorists either outright killed Palestinian civilians or forced them into harms way so they would be killed in the crossfire. This is essentially the same tactic used by the PLO in 1982 and the Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon. It is equally clear that Israel does whatever it can to spare civilian lives. On the question of hatred of Jews the right and left converge. That is why the irony is that Arabs proliferate white supremicist publications on their websites and on the Arab street. You have the ultimate irony of Ahmedinejad taking the same position on the Holocaust as white supremacists. The antipathy against israel is a convenient political excuse for underlying hatred of Jews. In the Mumbai attacks jewish targets were hit not Israeli ones. There is no distinction between jews and israelis in the minds of antisemites.

From all the Georgia50's, Cherevs, LibsRfunnies etc. I haven't heard one comment or suggestion that this murderer is a microcosm of a bigger problem that exists in this country today. So let me say it. As long as hate speech in any form is allowed to go unbridled in this country, the killings will continue. Add to this the loss of entitlement that some feel is happening as a result of minorities and people from other countries encroaching upon their livelyhood. With this mix we have a recipe for disaster. No organization should endorse extreme hatred towards any other group or minority in this country. Extreme groups should be infiltrated and the doings and goings on should be reported to the appropiate authorities. People that are part of these groups have a moral obligation to turn those in that are breaking the law. We can all have our differences and opinions, but we have to take the responsibility for the actions of those who can take our words too literally and soften the rhetoric.

True, he was/is a congregant of Rev. Wright who says nasty things about the Jews and Israel. But that only means the President is tolerant of Jew-hating scum, not that he himself hates them. -

Yeah, aint that beeatch. You get all those hits on Rev. Wright and Farrakhan. They have been condemned over and over again by the right, but the KKK and skinheads aren't attacked by the right as much. Why? The answer is because a large portion of them make up their base.

Calling someone a "neocon" is like calling people "libs"--neither is a pejorative. Neocon is short for "neoconservative", which is a person who favors a return to a set of established politically conservative values which have been updated to suit current conditions.
Your ignorance is exceeded only by your hypocrisy and most of what you say is ridiculous.

Owning firearms is not bad. Millions of people own guns. What is bad is when hate takes over. It's clear from other articles this guys is not only old but has a long antisemitic history. Like the Nazis in Germany, rather than face your own short comings you blame someone else. We see it with the Islamic community today when dealing with Israel. They control the middle east except for one small part called Israel yet they continue to use the Jews as their excuse for their own inabilities. This guy is part of the trailer trash community that festers with anti-everyone mentalities. The type you often see on Springer. The world is against him.... It has nothing to do with his own ignorance, stupidity or some other self-made problem.

This is a sad day when an institution dedicated to the horrors of what unbridled racism can do is the scene of a racist attack. I am very saddened to hear a guard was killed protecting the innocent men, women and children visiting this memorial. My family and I extend our most heartfelt condolences to the family of Stephen Tyrone Johns and ask that you keep them in your prayers.

Oh yes Jovial, Duct and cover, the white mans on the loose! Liberals like Jovial only oppose violence when it fits their anti-right agenda, but they are perfectly willing to accept violence to advance their pro-left agenda. The murder at the Holocaust museum was a terrible incident carried out by a crazed old man with obvious mental deficiencies, not by a group of Right wing radical White men as you try to suggest. When was the last time an incident like this occurred, I don't recall, Why?; because they're rare. If you were honestly concerned about Jew haters in America, you would have included the hateful remarks the racist Jew hating reverend Wright just made, or you would have mentioned the four BLACK Muslims who attempted to level a Manhattan synagogue recently, or you would have included the Muslim convert who cut short the life of a clean cut American soldier last week out of pure hatred. You are a dishonest fearful liberal who does more harm to Jews then you could possibly imagine. Its dishonest and unfair accusations like yours that give crazies like the shooter reason to exist in the first place. You conveniently leave out the other incidents because those haters happen to be Black, and it is your politically correct fear of blacks, coupled with the fact that they most likely vote like yourself, that allows you to give them a pass. Do a little research into the race identidy of those who have done harm to America in the recent past, and show me how many of these haters were white! '0' zippo!

It happened last week. Before that it happened just prior to the convention in Colorado. A lot of organizations did a lot of racial harm to blacks in particular in this country. They still have those organizations today, although slavery has long been abolished. It is tolerated by most. They hide behind free speech. They are conveniently tolerated by Americans and their membership has actually grown since Obama became President. I conveneiently left out black racism because it's not relevant to this particular matter. We fought a war to defeat Hitler and his Nazi's during WWII. Yet we tolerate groups such as Neo-nazi's to exist in America. Would they let a sect that worships the teachings of Osama Bin Laden have an organization in America that not only thrives but is increasing membership everyday? Think about it.

Jews have been obsessed with fear since WWII and the horrors of the holocaust, and rightfully so, but you can't start pointing fingers wildly because of it, as if its the end of the world or something if a Jew is attacked. There are other people that are hated to you know. I myself Have witnessed hate towards my own heritage which is Italian, and a lot of it came from the Jews where I grew up in east New York Brooklyn. Am I going to lose sleep over it? NO! Am I going to be fearful of Jews? no! Do I take it out on all the Jews of Brooklyn? NO! So when you say white men are the real terrorist, when I know that you have to know it just isn't true, I have to suggest you see a good shrink. If white men were truly terrorist, do you think Barrack Obama would not be residing at 1600 Pennsylvania avenue, would he? I don't think so!
