If these guys were found not to be enemy combatants 4 years ago why do we still have them in custody? They should have been taken back to where they were captured and released at that time. A policy like that could have discouraged the bounty hunting that was responsible for most of the wrongfully detained. It even could have been done quietly.

These are a brand of terrorist we like: like those we assembled to fight the godless Soviets in Afghanistan, there are fighting the godless Chinese Communists. It's hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys, these days. Right Wing extremists don't know whether to hate the Jews or support Israel.

To return the Uighurs back to China would surely sentence these Muslims to further incarceration if not torture and/or death. They were found to be noncombatants and should be released safely to a place of their choosing if the country will have them. And if the country refuses then it is an obligation of the US to find a place that will have them with the Uighurs approval.

The Pacific island of Palau has agreed to take them. Have to wonder why China wants them so badly, but apparently our govt. recognozes they wouldn't be treated well there. We held them without legitamacy, so we owe it to them NOT to cause them further problems.
