A lot of Republicans were turned off by the actions in the last administration, there was too much "me to-ism". Americans want clear choices, not muddled choices between tax and spend and tax and spend lite, between socialism and a little bit of socialism, between protections guaranteed by the constitution and pick and chose what we'll protect. Both the major parties have been for years courting and buying votes. Special interest groups may not completely be in control of Washington but special interests are, and one of those interests is not the ordinary citizen. This country needs to be taken back by Americans and not taken over by those persons whose interests and ideologies lie outside of this country.

And if the next election cycle does not bring about change, it will probably be due to entrenched ideologues and ideologue lite, if we're never given a clear and distinct difference, nothing will change for the better.
