Peshawar used to be a wonderful isolated little haven within the chaos that was Pakistan. It makes one wonder if the "war" being fought in Pakistan isn't making the situation worse. If anyone thinks its getting better I'd be happy to hear your rationale. [Let me add that simply stating that it has to get worse before it gets better will NOT be sufficient to convince me - I've heard that one WAY too many times!

What I would LIKE to be convinced of jim is that there is someone out there in a "leadership" role who can a) bring together people of goodwill and good faith, b) start addressing the underlying problems in the world instead of only focussing on oppositional politics and then of course there's a c and a d and an e..

Maybe I'll get to those in a little while.

O.K. Well c) is VERY simple and obvious..

I NEVER want to hear that it will have to get worse before it gets beter ever again!
Its either an excuse to do nothing or to continue going down the wrong track.
Its like getting beaten at school and being told by the sadistic perpetrator "This hurts me more than it hurts you"!

Common sense tells me that it does not make sense to wage a war on an abstract enemy known as "terror". In essence, there is only one reason that we are in Afghanistan / Pakistan; to kill or capture Osama bin Laden and to dismantle the Taliban. To ransack a nation, expose our troops to death and injury, and to deplete our national treasury only profits one entity, the military industrial complex.

The best way to protect our nation and to address 9-11 is to use special forces only and to infiltrate the Taliban for the specific purpose of capturing or killing bin Laden. The best way to defeat a terrorist organization is to win the support of the people that they must exploit.
Of course, this does not quench the thirst for revenge and the glory hunters, who think with their genitalia as opposed to using their gray matter.-

it actually profits the people we are waging "war" against since it depletes our ability to respond to actual threats allowing them to wage a war of attrition. Look at Iraq we had a quarter million troops held in place by 20K terrorists max at the highpoint, You dont win those wars.

The only way to stop the violence is to expose the lies that 9-11 was executed by Bin Laden and Islamic radicals. It has now been confirmed that nano thermite was used to cut the steel in the World Trade Center, This explosive is used by the US Military not islamic radicals. It is also confirmed that the Anthrax that was sent out immediately following the demolision on 9-11 was from Fort Detrix.

We must stop vilifying an entire religion so our corporate government can control the Middle East. -
