Spade, you are hereby nominated to infiltrate the Taliban and capture or kill Bin Laden. You now have it in your hands to save us from the scourge of bin Laden and thereby obviate the need for the U.S. to maintain a military.

Run scared jim... run scared. What do you know about special operations?

"What do you know about special operations?"

Quite a lot, Spade. Thank you.

"The best way to defeat a terrorist organization is to win the support of the people that they must exploit."

That's a very nice thought, Spade. A job for the Peace Corps, perhaps?
However, I suspect, one week of terror applied to a family, village, town or city can undo a decade of niceness.

After the past 8 years of failure, you would recommend the same course.

Even though you and yours take great satisfaction in ascribing failure to things that haven't failed and misappropriating causation to things that have, the last 8 years particularly in the Middle East have not been failures, Spade.

Indeed! And it doesn't matter who is the perpetrator of the perceived terror. Ask the citizens of Fallujah, for example..
