PBS Secrets of the Dead did a great show on this. It was another excavation of a Roman mass grave in the UK. The Romans didn't have the same beliefs we do today. Life was very cheap and it was common for them to kill everyone in a village or town. Violence, murder and death were all to common for that time in our history.
